Spread

Spread: The price difference between the ask price and the bid price.

Spread is the cost that investors pay for trading investment.

Fee

The contract size of 1 lot forex is 100000.

The contract size of 1 lot gold is 100 ounce.

The contract size of 1 lot oil is 1000 barrel.

Calculating Profit or Loss

With both long and short trades, profits and losses will be realised once the position is closed.

Profit or loss = [trading lots (volume) x contract size] x (closing price - opening price).
